Our History marching band laskar kibarak panji sakti History of our Non-Profit Youth Organization In 1987 Alumni SMP N 1 Singaraja TEGEH ARYA WANGSA, DE Toks,Yanuar Fitrianto those all from MARCHING BAND UDAYANA has a good idea and founded Drum Band Gajah Mada 109 (named "Gajah mada" for the Street of school and "109" after school local land mark,in Gajah mada street) and the instructur is Mr Nyeneng. Starting with less that 15 young members, the organization began as an all-boy and girl "Drum Corps" unit with only percussion instruments marching team. In 1990, the MB LKBPS added Horn line to their team (becoming a Drum Band ) and spun the Majorettes (baton twirlers) off as an independent unit of the organization. The Drum Band continued to provide the Majorettes with musical accompaniment during parades and shows. In 1990, a third unit was added to the MB GAMA 109 when the original Junior Drum Band elected to compete as a Senior unit and a new Junior Corps was established. All of these units did so well that in the late 1990's, the Senior DrumBand decided to make the transition to a full Marching Band In 19920, the Marching Band recruited 5 brass players, who joined the talented percussion line and Color Guard from the School dancer . On 1991, the LkbpS attended their first "standstill" competition in Denpasar - bali . By the Langgam Indonesia 1991 the MB GAMA 109 had grown in size to more than 70 members and traveled on their first step tour to compete with groups in the Denpasar Bali. The Corps did very well and changed their category from "B" to "A" status that same year. The MB GAMA 109 have provided unique opportunities to their fans and members by offering performances and clinics with great artists in the musical world. MB GAMA 109 have been featured in concert with MBU, YANUAR FITRIANTO and many others. Musical selections from these great bands and artists have been highlights of MB GAMA 109 repertoires over the years. In 1993 they change the name from local name GAMA 109 Become LASKAR KIBARAK PANJI SAKTI to remember the Singaraja hero. start from 1993 LKBPS always following many competition with the great value, and for the last moment, LKBPS in 3th place at GRAND PRIX MARCHING BAND INDONESIA 2005 in jakarta, in langgam indonesia we got THE no 1 PERCUSSION CONTEST and 2ND PLACE FOR GUARD CONTES. IN 2007 SALUT FOR BASS DRUMB DIVISION, AS THE BEST TEAM WE EVER HAVE. AND SNAR DRUMB AT 3RD PLACE
